Individual Counselling
Individual Counselling is for anyone struggling with mental and emotional issues, going through difficult relationships, suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or are looking for self development. This process will help you to improve your well-being, as well as understand your inner struggles and embrace change.
Our Counsellors are trauma-informed and especially influenced by Person-Centered therapy, integrating evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Somatic and Narrative Therapy. They believe that we are all unique individuals that bring a multitude of aspects that influence how we all experience and heal differently. Compassion and empathy are their drivers and our professionals are drawn from an anti-oppressive framework that considers diversity and multiculturalism. Spiritual Counselling
Individual Spiritual Counselling Session - Virtual
50 minutes
Spiritual Counselling is is a mode of healing that looks at an individual's beliefs and values, and in which there is typically a longing for meaning larger than the individual self. It can be a valuable resource for individuals seeking to develop their spiritual intelligence, wich encompasses a person's ability to understand and connect with their own inner self, others, and the larger universe or higher power.
Couples Counselling
Couples Counselling provides a neutral, safe and structured space where both partners can better understand how their individual habits, family backgrounds, and emotional patterns influence the relationship. It’s meant to support couples in understanding each other more deeply, communicating more effectively, and navigating challenges—whether they’re facing conflict, feeling disconnected, or simply looking to strengthen their bond.
It can be valuable in improving communication and conflict resolution, rebuilding trust after betrayal or hurt, exploring patterns that cause distress or disconnection, making decisions about the future of the relationship, deepening emotional and physical intimacy, navigating life changes or shared stressors.
Couples at any stage—dating, engaged, married, separated, or in long-term partnerships—can benefit. It’s not just for couples in crisis; many seek counselling as a proactive way to grow together.
Youth Counselling
Our counsellors at Ilumina have experience working with youth from twelve years to eighteen. We truly believe the therapeutic relationship improves with time and we value our client’s pace. We are here to help your teenage kid to overcome challenges in school, become more secure in their relationships, learn how to deal with anxiety and depression as well as family challenges such as divorce or a loss of a loved one.
Family Counselling
Family counselling provides a neutral, safe, and structured space where adult family members are supported in understanding one another better, strengthening communication, and working through challenges. Families are encouraged to reflect on the patterns, roles, and dynamics that influence the family relationships— fostering thoughtful connection, personal responsibility, and long-term resilience.
It can be valuable in improving conflict or tension between family members, managing parenting challenges, navigate major changes like divorce, loss or illness, healing from past hurts or long-standing issues, supporting a family member going through a difficult time, or as a caregiver.
Family counselling is for any group of people who consider themselves a family—whether that’s parents and children, adult siblings, blended families, or chosen family. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit; many families come simply to feel closer, work through stress, or learn to navigate life’s challenges together.
